Coconut Mawa Barfi

Ingredients to make Coconut Mawa Barfi

  • 2 cups desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup khoya, grated
  • 1 and 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp yellow colour
  • 1 tsp elaichi/ cardamom powder

How to make Coconut Mawa Barfi

  1. Heat a pan on flame, then put in the khoya and saute it for a few minutes.
  2. Next, add coconut and fry it for 2 minutes. Now add in the sugar and yellow colour.
  3. Stir it continuously till it becomes thick in texture.
  4. Grease a square mould and set it for 2 hours.
  5. Then cut it into pieces and enjoy!

My Tip:

If you use fresh coconut then cook it for a few minutes longer.
