Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Fish fingers Ingredients:
  2. 1/2 kg Fish fillet/ Seer fish/ Butter fish
  3. 2 tsp lemon juice
  4. 2 tsp fresh ground pepper
  5. 2 tsp salt
  6. 1 egg, beaten
  7. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  8. 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  9. Mayonnaise Ingredients:
  10. 1 egg with yolk
  11. 300 ml olive oil or any brand of cooking oil
  12. 1 tsp dijon mustard sauce
  13. 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  14. 1/2 tsp sea salt
  15. 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. To prepare the fish fingers, cut the fish fillets into 1 inch pieces and marinate them with 2 tsp of lemon juice, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp ground pepper. Then keep it aside.
  3. Meanwhile make a powder of the bread slices. Take a non-stick skillet and dry roast the bread crumbs till they are crisp.
  4. Season the all purpose flour with the remaining salt and grounded pepper.
  5. Dip the fish fillet into the all purpose flour, then dip it in the beaten egg, followed by the roll in the roasted bread crumbs.
  6. In an oiled baking tray, arrange the fish fillet and grill them for 10-12 mins.
  7. To prepare the mayonnaise, in a hand blender, add the egg. Take care not to break the egg yolk along with the rest of the ingredients mentioned for mayonnaise.
  8. Insert the hand blender, ensuring that the blades don't disturb the yolk and it is fully immersed in the mixture. Pulse the blender for 3-4 minutes in a high speed.
  9. The creamy mayonnaise is ready to be served with the hot fish fingers.
