Ingredients to make Cream of Mushroom

  • 200g Mushroom sliced
  • 80ml Cream
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 Onions chopped
  • 2-3 Garlic chopped
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • A pinch of nutmeg powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Cream of Mushroom

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add the bay leaf. Stir and the add the onions and garlic.
  3. Saute till onion become slightly brown.
  4. Add the mushrooms and saute until water starts to release
  5. Saute for 5 mins more till the mushrooms become a light brown.
  6. Add the flour. Saute for 2-3 mins. Season with pepper and salt.
  7. Add water, milk and stir well. Simmer and let the soup begin to thicken
  8. Add the cream and blend well. Cook for 2-3 more mins.
  9. Remove from heat and serve hot.
