ABOUT Paneer Kaju Peda RECIPE

A North Indian recipe made with a few ingredients that tastes awesome too.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 110 gms paneer- 1/2 cup
  2. 1.5 tbsp sugar
  3. 2 tbsp cashew nuts
  4. 1-2 strands of saffron
  5. For the Paneer:
  6. 750 ml skimmed milk
  7. 3/4 tbsp vinegar

Instructions

  1. To make the paneer, take the milk in a vessel and boil it. Once it comes to a boil, add in 1 tbsp of vinegar, once it curdles and the greenish whey separates itself, strain it. (You can also leave it in cold water for a few minutes to avoid over cooking it.)
  2. Take a non-stick pan and add in the paneer, then add the cashew paste, saffron strands and stir well till it gets together and leaves the sides of the pan for 5-10 minutes. Do not let it get too dry, it should be moist enough.
  3. Take the mixture out from the pan and make peda shapes (as shown in the picture).
  4. Serve them instantly.
