Mooli ka Paratha

Ingredients to make Mooli ka Paratha

  • wheat flour 2 cups
  • Ajwain/ Carom Seeds 1/4 tsp
  • radish 1 big
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • cumin powder 1 tsp
  • yogurt 1 tbsp
  • salt as required
  • Oil or ghee to make the Paratha
  • oil 1 tbsp to mix with the dough

How to make Mooli ka Paratha

  1. Grate the radish and sqeeze all the water from the radish and set it aside. (Do not throw away the water.)
  2. Take the wheat flour and mix all the listed ingredients slowly. Do not add any water at this point.
  3. Once all the spices are incorporated well with the wheat flour, then just pour in little by little radish water to make the dough. (Since the radish releases alot of water, we will not need extra water to make the dough.) Set this aside for 10-15 mins and cover it with a muslin cloth.
  4. Heat a tava or non-stick pan, roll all the parathas in any desired shape and toast it well in a tava until it turns into a nice brown color.
  5. Serve hot with curd, pickle or guava chutney.
