Ingredients to make Chilli Hamour Fish Gravy

  • Hamour fish fillet 250 gms
  • onion sliced 1
  • capsicum cubed 1
  • Corn flour 3 tbsp
  • Refined flour 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce 1 tsp
  • chilli sauce 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • tomato sauce 1 tsp
  • oil 4 tsp
  • ginger-Garlic paste 2 tsp

How to make Chilli Hamour Fish Gravy

  1. Take a big bowl, mix the flour, corn flour, salt and ginger-garlic paste, pepper powder. Add 5-6 tbsp water and make a paste without any lumps.
  2. Dip the fish pieces in it and keep it aside for 15 mins.
  3. Now shallow fry the fish pieces, 3 pieces at a time. Keep them aside.
  4. To prepare the gravy, heat oil in a pan, add in the onion and capsicum.
  5. Once the onion turns a little pink in colour, add in the 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and chilli sauce.
  6. Fry them and mix well on a high heat for 2-3 mins. Add salt and a little chilli powder as per your taste.
  7. Next, add in the fried fish pieces, pour in 1/2 cup water and let it simmer for 5 mins.
  8. Turn off the gas and garnish it with coriander leaves.
