Chilli Prawns

Ingredients to make Chilli Prawns

  • Prawns - 500 gm
  • egg - 1
  • cornflour - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped green chillies - 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Diced capsicum- 1/2 cup
  • salt as per taste
  • Refined oil as required

How to make Chilli Prawns

  1. Dip the chillies in vinegar and keep it aside.
  2. Marinate the prawns with half of the cornflour and rest of the ingredients, except the garlic, chillies and capsicum for 10 minutes.
  3. Deep fry the marinated prawns in refined oil and keep it aside.
  4. Now in a kadhai, add oil to heat, then add in the chopped garlic, chillies dipped in vinegar, followed by the capsicum. Next add in the fried prawns and stir.
  5. To make the gravy, make a slurry with the rest of the cornflour and water.
  6. Add salt and a little water to the prawns in the kadhai, bring it to boil, then add in the cornflour slurry and let it thicken.
  7. Serve it hot.
