Ingredients to make Mirchi ka Salan

  • Green chilli -100 gm
  • coconut- 50 gm
  • coriander-20 gm
  • cumin powder-20 gm
  • ginger garlic paste -30 gm
  • oil 200 ml
  • Diced onion -100 gm
  • peanut-50 gm
  • Red chilli powder-15 gm
  • salt to taste
  • sesame seeds-50 gm
  • tamarind -5 gm
  • turmeric-5 gm
  • cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
  • mustard seeds -1/2 teaspoon
  • curry leaves -few leaves

How to make Mirchi ka Salan

  1. Make a paste of the coconut, peanut, red chilli powder and sesame seeds.
  2. Deep fry the onion, then add in the above mixture and make a fine paste.
  3. Now make slits on the green chillies and deep fry them.
  4. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil, then add in the cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves. Saute it well, then add in the ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  5. Next add in the prepared paste and cook for 2 minutes. Then add in the fried chilli and garnish it with chopped coriander.
  6. Serve them hot.
