Schezwan Chicken Sticks with White Sauce

Ingredients to make Schezwan Chicken Sticks with White Sauce

  • 1/2 kg boneless chicken cubes
  • 1 and 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic-green chillies paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp schezwan chutney
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp maida/ flour
  • 1 egg
  • Red food colour- 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 3 cubes of cheese, grated
  • Bread crumbs- 1 bowl
  • semolina- 1 bowl
  • Milk- 200 gms
  • butter- 1
  • maida/ Flour- 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • oil for frying
  • Green onions to garnish

How to make Schezwan Chicken Sticks with White Sauce

  1. Take a bowl add in the boneless chicken, green chilli-garlic-ginger paste, garam masala powder, red chilli sauce, schezwan sauce, maida, cornflour, salt, egg, red-orange food colour, white pepper powder. Mix all of this together and marinate for 4-5 hours.
  2. After this time, skew each of the chicken pieces in sticks and coat it with breadcrumbs mixed with a little rawa. Then deep fry them and keep them aside.
  3. To prepare the white sauce, heat a pan, then add in the butter and roast the maida well. Then pour in milk while stirring continuously, then add in salt, pepper, grated cheese cubes.
  4. Mix well and instantly pour this on the chicken sticks.
  5. Garnish with green onions and serve it hot.

My Tip:

While preparing the white sauce, whisk or mix the flour properly in order to avoid forming lumps.
