Chilli Garlic Breadfruit

Ingredients to make Chilli Garlic Breadfruit

  • Breadfruit cubes 3 cups
  • onion slices 1 cup
  • Bell pepper slices 1/2 cup
  • Soya sauce 2 tablespoon
  • garlic slices - a lot
  • Thai red curry paste 1 tablespoon
  • salt to taste
  • tomato sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • maida 2 tablespoon
  • Corn flour 1 tablespoon
  • oil - 1 tablespoon + as required
  • water to make the batter

How to make Chilli Garlic Breadfruit

  1. Make a thick batter with the maida, cornflour, one tablespoon oil, salt and water.
  2. Dip the breadfruit cubes in the batter and deep fry till they are slightly golden. Strain and keep aside.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan. Add in the onion, bell pepper and garlic. Saute it for a minute.
  4. Add in the red thai curry paste, tomato sauce, soya sauce, salt and sugar. Cook it for a minute.
  5. Take some batter that was prepared for frying the breadfruit and add a little water to make it watery.
  6. Add this cornflour-maida mixture to the sauce mixture and bring it to a boil.
  7. Then add the breadfruit pieces and toss them in.
  8. Turn off the flame and serve it immediately.

My Tip:

You can adjust the sauce and seasonings as per your taste.
