ABOUT Tawa Pulav with Haryali Raita RECIPE

It is a twist in this dish, it's a combination of chinese sauces and a tangy taste of pav bhaji masala.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup cooked white rice
  2. 1 lemon
  3. 2 tbsp butter
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
  6. 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  7. 1 tbsp schezwan sauce
  8. 1 carrot, cut into long pieces
  9. 1 potato, cut into long pieces
  10. 1 small piece of cauliflower
  11. 1/2 cup peas
  12. 1 onion chopped
  13. 1 tbsp spring onions, chopped
  14. 1 tomato, grated
  15. 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  16. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  17. 1 tsp chat masala
  18. Coriander for garnishing
  19. For the Raita:
  20. 1 cup beaten curd
  21. 2-3 green chillies
  22. 1 cup coriander leaves
  23. 1 cup mint leaves
  24. Salt to taste
  25. 1 carrot chopped
  26. 1 onion chopped
  27. 1/2 tomato chopped

Instructions

  1. In a thick bottomed pan, add in butter and fry the onions till they turn light pink in colour.
  2. Then add in the grated tomato and fry it nicely till the oil separates itself. Next add in the salt, garam masala powder, coriander, chat masala powder, red chilli sauce, schezwan sauce and mix it well.
  3. Next add in the peas, carrots, spring onions, potato, cauliflower and mix well till it becomes soft.
  4. Now add in the cooked white rice and mix it well. Then add in 1 squeezed lemon juice on top of the rice and mix it well.
  5. To prepare the raita, in a bowl add in the beaten curd and salt to taste.
  6. Then add in the green paste (coriander, mint leaves, green chillies). Mix it well. Then add in the chopped onions, tomato, carrots and mix well.
  7. Serve the pulav and raita together.
