Corn Palak

Ingredients to make Corn Palak

  • palak 300 grams
  • Boiled sweet corn kernels 2 cups
  • Large sized onion 1
  • tomatoes 2
  • Green chilli 1
  • ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • cream or malai 1 tablespoon
  • oil 1 tablespoon

How to make Corn Palak

  1. Wash and chop the palak. Then chop the tomatoes, green chilli and onion as well. Add these ingredients to a pressure cooker, then add salt to taste and the turmeric powder. First whistle on high, then simmer and cook till 1 more whistle blows.
  2. Once cooked, open the cooker after cooling. Blend the palak mixture to a puree.
  3. Take a deep pan, add oil to it. Once the oil heats, add in the ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away. Then add in the red chilli powder and garam masala. Saute and add in the corn kernels.
  4. Saute for a minute. Next add in the palak puree and salt to taste. Saute for another minute, add in cream and mix it well.
  5. Serve hot with a garnish of cream.
