  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • egg 1
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 1 tbsp
  • Milk 2 tbsp
  • Sweet corn kernels 5 tbsp
  • Mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup shredded
  • Canola oil 1 tbsp

How to make Japanese Steamed Cakes In Idli Moulds

  1. Beat the egg along with the milk, salt, sugar and oil.
  2. Then combine the dry ingredients now, add in the corn and the cheese. Mix all until it's well combined.
  3. Grease the idli moulds and steam.
  4. Steam them for 10 mins and insert a skewer to check whether they are done. If it comes out clean, they are perfectly done.

My Tip:

Measuring cups are used for accuracy. This recipe makes 6 cakes. You can double or triple the recipe accordingly.
