Schezwan Noodles and Rice

Ingredients to make Schezwan Noodles and Rice

  • 1/2 cup of long grained basmati rice, cooked and cooled
  • 1 packet of hakka noodles, cooked and cooled
  • 1 cup of finally chopped mix vegetables such as carrots, green pepper, cauliflower, cabbage, beans, as per your preference
  • 1 bunch of spring onion chopped finely, keep the white and green part separately
  • 3 tbsp of garlic-ginger paste
  • 2 tsp of red kashmiri chillies paste
  • 2 tsp of soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp of ketchup
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt to taste

How to make Schezwan Noodles and Rice

  1. Heat the oil in a broad pan, add in the garlic-ginger paste and saute for a minute. Then add in the chilli paste, soya sauce, ketchup, salt, sugar and saute for another 2 minutes.
  2. Next add the white part of the onions, chopped mix vegetables and cook on a high flame for 3 minutes.
  3. Now add in the rice and noodles, cook it again for 3-4 minutes, lastly add in the green part of the onions and mix it well.
  4. Serve it instantly.

My Tip:

Add a little more ketchup if you want to make it for your children's party.
