ABOUT Raw Turmeric Laddoos RECIPE

In Ayurveda we have used turmeric, both fresh and as a dried spice powder to promote health. Turmeric is a traditional cooking spice, no delicious curry is complete without it. It is a powerful antioxidant. Although turmeric is one of the major ingredient in most Indian dishes, but to make laddoos of raw turmeric sounded very difficult, we used to run away from the bitterness of turmeric while our elders enjoyed eating such items and often said that we will realise the effects in future. To revive the memories of our ancestors, I tried to make turmeric laddoos in a healthy recipe.

  6. Cook the khoya in another pan for some time.
  7. Next add in the sugar, gram flour and cook it for 5-10 minutes on a low flame. Now add in the khoya and cook it for sometime.
  8. Add in the roasted turmeric and cook for another 5-10 minutes. Mix all the ingredients together properly.
  9. Turn off the gas, then add in the nuts, char goond, kamarkas and char magaz.
  10. Mix it well, then let the mixture cool and come down to room temperature.
  11. Make small sized balls with your hands.
  12. Turmeric laddoos are ready to eat. (Take one laddoo daily in the winter morning with hot milk for more benefit.)
