ABOUT Honey Sesame Chilli Prawns RECIPE

Chinese is my all time favourite cuisine and prawn is my favourite sea food, I combined both in one dish and nothing can be better than this. I took the idea of this recipe from my favourite Master Chef Pankaj Bhadoria. So here I am presenting my recipe, hope you all like it .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Prawns 20
  2. Cornflour 2 tablespoons
  3. Flour 3 tablespoons
  4. Chopped garlic 3 tablespoons
  5. Chopped ginger 1 tablespoon
  6. Tomato sauce 1 tablespoon
  7. Red chilli sauce 2 teaspoons
  8. Soya sauce 3 teaspoons
  9. Vinegar 2 teaspoon
  10. Onion 1
  11. Capsicum 1
  12. Spring onion 5
  13. Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  14. Sesame seeds 2 teaspoons
  15. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Devein and wash the prawns very well .
  2. In a bowl add in the prawns, red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon soya sauce, 1 tablespoon cornflour, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 teaspoon chopped garlic and salt. Mix all the ingredients very well so that the prawns are coated nicely. Let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Heat a pan, add sufficient oil in it. Now deep fry the prawns and take it out in an absorbent paper.
  4. Chop the onion and capsicum in square shapes. Cut the spring onion into 1 inch long size.
  5. Heat a pan and add 2 tablespoon oil. Add the rest of the chopped garlic and cook it for a few seconds.
  6. Now add in the chopped ginger and cook for few seconds. Add in the chopped onion and capsicum, cook it for 2 minutes.
  7. Now add in the tomato sauce, chili sauce and the rest of the soya sauce. Give it a good mix. Now add the vinegar and mix it well.
  8. Add the rest of the cornflour and 1//4 cup water in a bowl. Mix it well and add it to the pan.
  9. Mix it well with the onion and capsicum. Now add in 1/2 cup of water and salt, let it boil properly.
  10. Now add the prawns into it. Cook it in a low flame for 2 minutes.
  11. Finally add in the honey and roasted sesame seeds, now mix it well.
  12. Your honey sesame chilli prawns is ready to be served with noodles or fried rice.
