Ingredients to make Chinese weds Italian

  • all purpose flour 1 cup
  • Whole wheat flour 1.5 cup
  • Dry yeast 1 teaspoon
  • sugar 1 tablespoon
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • Lukewarm water 1 cup
  • olive oil 3-4 tablespoons
  • cottage cheese small cubes 1 cup
  • cottage cheese grated 1/2 cup
  • Mixed veggies sliced (capsicum, onion, tomato) 1/3 cup
  • Crushed garlic 1-2 tablespoons
  • butter 1 tablespoon
  • Mixed herbs and chilli flakes 1-2 teaspoons
  • Mayonnaise 1 tablespoon
  • Soya sauce 1.5 teaspoons
  • tomato Sauce 2 tablespoons
  • oil for brushing the pan
  • salt to taste
  • Mozzarella Cheese 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Vegetables Manchurian masala 1 teaspoon

How to make Chinese weds Italian

  1. Knead a soft and sticky dough by mixing both the flours, yeast, sugar, salt, water and olive oil.
  2. Keep it aside covered with a damp cloth in a warm place until it doubles in size.
  3. Shape it oblong and keep cutting the dough pieces (approximately 1 inch) in triangles just like it's done for monkey bread.
  4. In a big bowl, add in the melted butter, crushed garlic, mayonnaise, soya sauce, tomato sauce and mixed herbs along with manchurian masala.
  5. Mix it well and add the veggies and cottage cheese cubes and some mozzarella cheese. Now mix everything well and add the dough pieces in this mixture and coat them well with it.
  6. Brush the bundt pan with oil generously and put this mixture in it. Set it aside for 10 minutes and preheat the oven at 220 degrees.
  7. Now top the bundt pan mixture with grated cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese evenly.
  8. Bake it for 35-40 minutes covered with aluminium foil.

My Tip:

You may add veggies of your choice. I made two batches of the same recipe, one in a bundt pan and another in a pizza tray. Both had the perfect balance of Chinese and Italian flavours and it tasted amazing. It is a must try if you love these cuisines.
