Ingredients to make Bread and Butter Pudding in a mug

  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar or acc. to taste
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp raisins
  • 1 slice Stale Bread
  • 1 tbsp cream
  • 1 tsp Jam/ any other conserve

How to make Bread and Butter Pudding in a mug

  1. In a microwaveable mug, mix together the milk, egg, sugar, cream, cinnamon and vanilla until it's combined. Cut your buttered bread into square bite-sized pieces.
  2. Add the bread and raisins to the mug and press down so that they are submerged in the liquid. Leave it for 10 minutes on the counter for the bread to soak up the custard. Top it with the jam.
  3. Microwave on a high for 90 seconds, check if i'ts done, if not then microwave for 30 seconds more.

My Tip:

Note- 1. Bread should preferably be a day old. 2.I sometimes go the Jamie Oliver way and use marmalade. 3.Timings for microwaves can vary, so check how yours work.
