Veggies Burjee

Ingredients to make Veggies Burjee

  • banana stem 1 long piece
  • cauliflower leaves 6 or 7 leaves
  • Green peas 1/2 cup
  • oil for shallow frying 2 tbsp
  • masalas for marinade:
  • Dry ginger powder 1/4 tsp
  • mango powder 1/2 tsp
  • haldi 1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • besan 2 tbsp
  • rice powder 1 tbsp
  • hing powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Dhanya powder 1/4 tsp
  • jeera powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala and coriander for garnishing

How to make Veggies Burjee

  1. Cut the banana stem into thin roundels and place them in salted buttermilk water.
  2. Clean and wash cauliflower leaves and chop into small pieces.
  3. Wash the green peas. Keep aside. Then drain the water from the banana stem roundels.
  4. Mix the veggies together, and marinate in all the masalas. Sprinkle water for binding.
  5. Take a kadai and heat the oil, add in the marinated veggies and fry them for a few minutes.
  6. Cover the kadai and allow the mixture to roast under cover.
  7. Garnish with a pinch of garam masala and chopped coriander leaves.

My Tip:

This vegies curry can also be prepared through baking and grilling.
