Hide and Seek Biscuit

Ingredients to make Hide and Seek Biscuit

  • 1 and 1/2 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup Refined sugar (Caster sugar / Icing sugar )
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Vanilla Essence a tsp is purely optional
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

How to make Hide and Seek Biscuit

  1. At first, beat the egg yolk and sugar until they are fluffy.
  2. Add in vanilla essence, salt and butter and further beat it until they are well puffed up.
  3. In another vessel, bring together the flour and baking powder and salt and give it a generous stir.
  4. Into the Sugar-Butter portion, add in the flour and fold it in the mixture slowly.
  5. Sift the choco chip pieces and make a loose dough. Close and refrigerate it for 30 mins.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  7. Spread the dough and square them. Give an impression with a fork.
  8. Onto the baking tray, grease the butter, then place the cookies square and bake it for exactly 13-15 mins.

My Tip:

1. You can add in 1 tbsp hershey's choco syrup along with cocoa powder if you want the cookies to be dark brown in color. 2. Every minute is crucial for biscuit baking. Hence check it every 5 mins to see the cookies are not getting over baked.
