ABOUT Chilli Paneer RECIPE

All time Chinese Chilli Paneer cannot be missed when we talk of Chinese food in India. A blend of greens as in Green bell pepper, Green onions, Green Chillies, Green Cilantro with succulent paneer pieces sauteed in soya sauce and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 150 grams Paneer/Cottage cheese
  2. 1 medium green bell pepper/Capsicum
  3. 2 -3 Spring Onions and greens
  4. 2-3 green chillies
  5. 1/2 cup Soy sauce (I used Ching's)
  6. 1-2 tbsp corn starch
  7. 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/4th tsp pepper
  10. 1/2 tsp chilli oil
  11. 2 tbsp olive oil or any oil of choice

Instructions

  1. Cut the paneer into cube sizes.
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan, fry the paneer cubes till they are golden and keep them aside.
  3. Cut the bell pepper/capsicum and spring onions into cubes.
  4. Wash and chop the cilantro leaves, then keep it aside.
  5. Slit the green chillies and keep it aside.
  6. Mix the soy sauce and corn starch in a cup of water. Then keep it aside.
  7. Now in the hot oil, stir fry the ginger-garlic and saute the greens, capsicum, spring onion and green chillies.
  8. Add the fried paneer to the greens, then add in the salt and pepper.
  9. Next add in the soy sauce and corn starch, mix it with the paneer and greens. Stir well to avoid lumps.
  10. Serve it hot with steamed rice or on a bed of noodles.
