Vegetable Gatta Pulav

Ingredients to make Vegetable Gatta Pulav

  • 2 cups boiled basmati rice
  • cabbage 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • tomato 2 medium size, finely chopped
  • 1 big size potato, cut into pieces
  • French beans 1/2 cup
  • green chillies 2 -3, finely chopped
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • red chilli, turmeric powder and salt as per your taste
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Curry patta 4-5
  • oil as required
  • For gatta making:-
  • besan 1 cup
  • red chilli and Salt 1 tsp each
  • oil as required

How to make Vegetable Gatta Pulav

  1. To make the gattas, make dough from besan with all the spices, 2 tsp of oil and water as needed. First make some cylindrical shapes, then cut them into small pieces and deep fry till they are golden brown. Keep them aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add in the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry patta and green chillies. Saute for a minute, then add in all the veggies and spices.
  3. Cook the veggies in a medium heat.
  4. Once all the veggies get cooked, add the rice in it and mix it well so that all the spices and veggies get mixed with the rice. Now add in the lemon juice and gattas at last, then cook it for 2 mins.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot.
