Ingredients to make Spring Roll

  • Spring roll wrapper 8
  • onion thinly 2 medium size
  • capsicum 1 medium size
  • cabbage finely shredded 1/2 small
  • Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • Bean sprouts 3/4 cup
  • Grated paneer 1 tbsp
  • Grated cheese 1/2 tbsp
  • cornflour 1/2 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil to shallow fry

How to make Spring Roll

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add in the onion and saute for a minute. Now add in the cabbage, capsicum, salt and mix.
  2. Add in the black pepper powder and grated paneer, saute it for 2 minutes.
  3. Turn off the flame and keep it aside to cool.
  4. Dissolve the corn flour in 1/2 tsp of water.
  5. Take the spring roll wrapper and place the stuffing on one side of the wrapper, fold in the edges and tightly roll it. Then apply the corn flour paste to bind it well.
  6. Continue this process with the other wrappers as well.
  7. Now heat the tawa and shallow fry the rolls from both the sides till golden brown spots form.
  8. Serve with any sauce or chutney.

My Tip:

Spring roll is usually cooked by deep frying. To make it healthy, I fry it on a tawa with little oil.
