ABOUT Oatmeal Raisin Cookies RECIPE

Cookies that are made of oats and raisins.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Butter (at room temperature) - 1/2 cup
  2. Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  3. white granulated sugar - 40 gms
  4. Egg - 1
  5. vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
  6. all purpose flour (maida) - 3/4 cup
  7. Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
  8. Salt - 1/2 tsp
  9. cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp
  10. Raisins - 1/2 cup
  11. oats (Old fashioned rolled oats) - 1 1/2 cups

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, sift flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon powder. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, add butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Mix well using a whisk till the butter becomes soft, smooth and creamy.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Add the flour mixture spoon by spoon in the batter and mix
  5. Finally stir in the rolled oats and raisins.
  6. preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit (180 degree celsius)
  7. Line the baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Using a tablespoon, place around 10 cookies on each baking sheet. Leave enough space between the cookies as the cookies tend to expand while baking.
  9. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake it for 12 - 14 minutes. The cookies are done when the edges become golden brown in color and the center is soft. (The longer the cookies bake, the more crispy they will be).
  10. Once done, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let it cool before you transfer it on a wire rack.
