Cheesy Frankie

Ingredients to make Cheesy Frankie

  • maida 1 cup
  • salt to taste
  • water for kneading dough
  • oil 2 tablespoon
  • cabbage 1 cup grated
  • onion 1 cup grated
  • green chillies 2 finely minced
  • garlic 5 finely miced
  • paneer 1/2 cup cuts in cube shaped
  • Black pepper powder 2 pinch
  • Cheese 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste

How to make Cheesy Frankie

  1. Mix maida,1 tablespoon oil and salt to taste and knead a smooth dough with adding water, adjust water as needed.
  2. Cover the dough and keep aside.
  3. Now for filling heat 1/2 teaspoon oil in a pan add green chillies ,garlic,onion and cabbage and cover it for few minutes to be steamed.
  4. Now fry paneer till light brown colour and add the vegetables.
  5. Add black pepper powder and salt and cover it for few minutes.
  6. Off the flame and filling is ready.
  7. Now divide the dough into 4 equal parts.
  8. Take a ball and roll it big round roti with little dry flour.
  9. Heat tawa on medium flame, when it started smoking place roti over it.
  10. When roti started changing colour lightly flip over and lightly press. Remove it from tawa. Continue the process with other balls too.
  11. Put the roti over a flat surface. Put about 1/2cup of steamed veggies on one half of roti and add 1/2 teaspoon of cheese in it and fold it tightly.
  12. Now heat tawa again and fry it with few drops of oil from both sides till light brown and crispy.
  13. Continue with other Roti's also.
  14. Serve Cheesy Frankie with any chutney or sauce you want.

My Tip:

Steaming the vegetables makes the Frankie oil free and good for health.
