Jalapeño Cheese Corn Balls with Schezwan Sauce

Ingredients to make Jalapeño Cheese Corn Balls with Schezwan Sauce

  • 1 cup semi crushed American corn
  • 4 tablespoon pickeled jalapeno
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon chilly flakes
  • 1 tablespoon mixed herbs
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • salt to taste
  • 1/ 4 cup thin cornflour slurry
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • oil to deep fry
  • For the sauce:
  • 2 tablespoon Kashmiri red chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon celery
  • 2 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon red chili sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon soya sauce (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup water

How to make Jalapeño Cheese Corn Balls with Schezwan Sauce

  1. Heat butter in a pan.
  2. Add plain flour and saute for a minute.
  3. Add milk and stir continuesly.
  4. Make a thick batter. Cool completely.
  5. Now add semi crushed corn, salt, chilly flakes, mixed herbs and chopped fresh parsley. Mix well.
  6. Make a lemon sized balls.
  7. Add this balls into corn flour slurry and roll into bread crumbs.
  8. Freeze it for an hour.
  9. Now deep fry it. Serve it with schezwan sauce.
  10. For the sauce:
  11. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic and ginger. Saute for a minute.
  12. Now add Kashmiri red chili paste and saute for a minute.
  13. Now add red chili sauce, salt, sugar, vinegar, water and bring to a boil.
  14. Now add cornflour slurry and mix well.
  15. Your sauce is ready.

My Tip:

You can coat this balls with Schezwan Sauce and present as a different fusion starter.
