ABOUT Besan Panjiri RECIPE

This is my father in law's recipe. He's been making this since years now. It's loved by everyone including my 3 year old.

Ingredients Serving: 15

  1. •500 gms Besan (mota besan or barik besan that's totally your choice. I personally prefer barik besan. The texture is much softer)
  2. •500 gms Ghee
  3. •500 gms boora chinni or powdered sugar
  4. •300 gms Almonds

Instructions

  1. 1.Sieve Besan to get rid of lumps and impurities.
  2. 2.Wipe clean the almonds with a dry cloth.
  3. 3.Keep your sugar ready. In a deep and broad kadhi, melt the ghee.
  4. 4.Then add Besan and cook and cook and cook on medium flame till you can smell the aroma at the front of your gate. Just when it's almost done then add almonds and roast along with besan till your besan becomes brown in colour.
  5. 5.Switch off the flame. Place the kadhi on the floor. Then drop in the sugar when it's still hot. Spread sugar nicely. Then mix quickly till sugar is completely dissolved.
