Ingredients to make Jaggery rice kheer.

  • rice of your choice 1/2 cup
  • jaggery 3/4 cup,grated
  • coconut grated 1/4 cup
  • cardamom Powder 1/4 tsp
  • ghee 2 Tbsp
  • Kismis,cashew,or any nuts.3 tbsp
  • water 2 1/2 cups
  • banana 1

How to make Jaggery rice kheer.

  1. Cook rice in 2 cups of water. I took small size rice,usually we take for making gheer.
  2. It took 10 min to cook. But u can take basmati or such rice.it will cook soon.
  3. Meanwhile make jaggery surup ,by boiling jaggery in 1 cup of water.strain it.
  4. Let all water gets evaporated from rice,then add jaggery syrup.boil for sometime.
  5. Add grated coconut .let the kheer become thick & with a little watery.
  6. Add 2 tbsp of ghee ,just before removing from fire.stir well. Add kismis & nuts. keep in fridge till cool.peel & cut a small banana serve along with the kheer. It s really tasty

My Tip:

Rice ,you can take any rice,if easily cooked one,u wont need this much water or time. Jaggery according to your taste. Nuts if u want to avoid,you can. Small pieces of banana goes well with this gheer.
