Ingredients to make Chocolate cake

  • 350 gm maida
  • 300 gm powdered sugar
  • 1 spoon baking powder
  • 3 spoons cocoa powder
  • 4 spoons butter
  • 10 ml vanilla essence
  • 3 eggs with egg white separated
  • 200gm milk chocolate, 100 gm unsalted butter, 100 gm cream and 3 drops vanilla essence for icing
  • 400 ml milk

How to make Chocolate cake

  1. For icing pour hot cream on chocolate and add three spoons powdered sugar, butter, vanilla essence and keep it aside to melt
  2. For the batter sift maida and add powdered sugar. Make sure that the sugar is in a comparatively lesser amount than the miada.
  3. Add butter, cocoa powder, baking powder, essence and mix it thoroughly.
  4. Beat the egg yolk and pour it over the maida and mix it
  5. Then beat the egg white and pour it over the maida and mix it. The batter now has a characteristic brown colour.
  6. Now add milk little by little and make sure that it is uniformly mixed without forming granules. You can add more cocoa powder to get the perfect shade.
  7. Milk should be added in the right quantity for a perfect fluffy cake. Less milk tends to make the cake hard.
  8. Grease a bowl and pour the batter. Put it in the microwave at the microwave-convection mode at 110 degrees and bake it for 15 minutes.
  9. Let it cool perfectly and then cut it medially. Spread the icing on both the top surfaces .
  10. Chop almonds and spread it all over.
  11. Pour over chocolate sauce.

My Tip:

Add the milk according to your own discretion. Ensure the batter is not too thick and doesnt form layers once you take it in a spoon and pour it over the batter in the container.
