Ingredients to make Sweet and salty jowar cookies

  • jowar flour- 1 cup
  • Whole wheat flour- 1/2 cup
  • Organic sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Flaxseed powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • butter- 1/2 cup
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon (more if using unsalted butter)
  • red chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted jeera powder 1 teaspoon
  • Whole jeera 2 teaspoon

How to make Sweet and salty jowar cookies

  1. Cream butter and sugar well. To that add the spices-whole jeera, jeera powder, red chilly powder.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients-jowar, wheat flour, flax seeds powder.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the butter sugar mixture and form a smooth and soft dough.
  4. Add milk if necessary.
  5. Cling wrap and keep in fridge for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Cut using cookie cutter and place in the greased baking tray.
  7. Press lightly with a fork and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees celsius for 10-12 minutes.
