Broken wheat croquette

Ingredients to make Broken wheat croquette

  • Broken wheat(dalia) 1/2 cup
  • Chopped curry leaves 4 tsp
  • Flaxseed powder - 2 tsp
  • Grated carrot 4 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Boiled potatoes - 2
  • oil for shallow frying

How to make Broken wheat croquette

  1. Take pressure cooker. Add dalia and dry roast. Add 1 /2 cup water. Cook for two whistles. Open and leave to cool.
  2. Take a mixing bowl. Put dalia in it. Add curry leaves, flaxseed powder, salt, potato, red chilli powder and carrot. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Make small patties.
  4. Take a non-stick tawa. Put patties on it. Add some oil for shallow frying.
  5. Cook till golden in colour. Cook the other side
  6. Serve with tomato ketchup or mint chutney.

My Tip:

While cooking dalia, don't add too much water otherwise, the mixture will become runny and it will be difficult to form patties. If the mixture is sticky, add gram flour to it.
