Ingredients to make Curry leaves Thuvaiyal

  • curry leaves 10 sprigs
  • urad dal 2tbsp
  • Channa dal 1tbsp
  • tamarind 25gm
  • Red chillies 4
  • salt to taste
  • hing a pinch
  • Gingelly oil 2tsp
  • mustard seeds 2tsp

How to make Curry leaves Thuvaiyal

  1. Heat a pan pour oil
  2. Splutter mustard seeds
  3. Add Channa Dal and urad dal
  4. Add Hing
  5. Add both dals
  6. Fry till it turns golden brown
  7. Add tamarind
  8. Remove curry leaves from sprig and Add curry leaves
  9. Add required salt
  10. Fry for 3min
  11. Remove from heat
  12. Cool it
  13. Grind in mixer with adequate water
  14. Serve with hot ghee rice

My Tip:

Add a teaspoon of jaggery powder to make it astier
