ABOUT Curryleaves & Flaxseed Rice RECIPE

Healthy easy and tasty rice which can be made in a jiffy .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 &1/2 cup cooked rice
  2. Salt to taste
  3. To dry roast & powder
  4. 1 tbsp flaxseed
  5. 1/2 tsp bengal gram
  6. 1/2 tsp split & dehusked black gram ( urad dal )
  7. 1/4 cup of curry leaves
  8. 2 dry red chillies
  9. For tempering
  10. 1 -2 tbsp clarified butter ( ghee )
  11. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 6 cashews
  13. 1/4 tsp cumin
  14. Pinch of Asafoetida
  15. 1 sprig of curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan and dry roast all the pluses in lowflame till it turns golden colour .
  2. Now add the curry leaves and switch off the flame and mix well . Let it rest in the same pan till it cools
  3. Once cooled grind it to a little coarse powder
  4. Heat a pan with clarified butter and add mustard seeds , cummin seeds and once it splutters
  5. Add Asafoetida ,curry leaves , salt and grinded powder and switch of the flame & mix well
  6. Add the cooked rice and mix well
  7. This can be made with left over rice also
