Eggless Black Forest Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Black Forest Cake

  • maida (flour)-175 gm
  • Milkmaid (400gm) 1 tin
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp sodo Bicarbonate
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 25 gm-Cocoa powder
  • 100 gm-butter
  • 50 gm-cooking milk chocolate
  • 100 ml-Aerated soda
  • 200 gm fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp icing sugar.

How to make Eggless Black Forest Cake

  1. Grease an 8 inch diameter baking tin and dust it with flour.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180degrees C, Sieve together Maida cocoa powder baking powder and soda bicarbonate .soften butter (Do not melt)
  3. Add milkmaid and beat well. Add the vanilla essence.
  4. Add Maida mixture and aerated soda alternately to the better till all the Maida and soda is used up.
  5. Pour the batter into the baking tin and bake in the preheated oven for 50 min or till the a tooth pick inserted in the centre of the cake comes out clean.
  6. Remove from oven cool for a while . Loosen the sides of cake using a knife
  7. Remove the cake and cool on a rack. Let it cool. Cut horizontally into two pieces.
  8. Drain pit the cherries. Soak both cake halves with cherry syrup
  9. Whip cream and sugar till light .
  10. Top with whipped cream and cherries and sprinkle grated chocolate
  11. Chill and serve.
