Ingredients to make Kadhi Badi with Rice

  • rice
  • For Pakodas
  • gram flour 1 1/2 tbsp
  • cabbage 1 tbsp
  • Medium size onion 1
  • green chilly 1 or 2
  • salt as per taste
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • water
  • For Kadhi
  • curd approx 250 ml
  • gram flour 4 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • For tempering
  • oil 1 tsp
  • Zeera 1/4 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • onion small 1
  • Kadhi leaves few
  • red dry chilli 1 or 2

How to make Kadhi Badi with Rice

  1. Cook rice normally
  2. For pakodas
  3. Add all the ingredients of pakodas and add water little by little and make a thick batter
  4. Heat deep frying pan and add oil to fry
  5. Put a spoonful of batter and fry pakodas till brown and crispy
  6. Keep it in a plate
  7. For kadhi
  8. Heat pan add little oil, put zeera, mustard seeds, red dry chilli, kadhi leaves, onion and fry a little
  9. Then mix all the ingredients of kadhi and add to the pan and boil for 10 - 15 min
  10. Then add pakodas and boil for 2 minutes and it is ready
