ABOUT Veg Pulao RECIPE

This is a very healthy recipe and an easy way to feed veggies to the kids who are fussy eaters

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup basmati rice
  2. 3 tbsp oil
  3. 1 tsp Ginger paste
  4. 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  5. 1/2 cup Cauliflower florets
  6. 1 potato cut into pieces
  7. 1 carrots cut into pieces
  8. 1/2 Cup Green Peas
  9. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Whole Spices:
  12. Green cardamon
  13. Black cardamom
  14. Black pepper corns
  15. 1 star anise
  16. Bay leaf
  17. Shah jeera
  18. Clove
  19. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Soak rice for 30 mins
  2. Then dry the rice spreading it over a flat tray
  3. Put oil in a deep bottom pan.
  4. First put all the whole masalas
  5. As flavour comes out add ginger garlic paste and the veggies.
  6. Fry for sometime.
  7. Then add the rice.
  8. Then add chilli powder and salt.
  9. Add water just double the rice.
  10. Cook covered till the rice is cooked.
  11. Alternatively you can microwave it after adding water for 15- 20 min.
  12. This can also be pressure cooked
