Ingredients to make Flaxseed Greengram Ladoo (Minnena Cherupayar Ladoo

  • 1/2 cup flaxseeds
  • 1/2 cup greengram
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 cup grated jaggery.

  1. Dry roast green gram till golden brown and remove it in a clean dry plate.
  2. Similarly dry roast flaxseeds till it starts to pop and remove it in same plate.
  3. Dry roast almonds,cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds till light brown and and remove it too in the same plate.
  4. Let the roasted materials cool down completely and the grind it with cardamom into a coarse powder.
  5. After grinding add in grated jaggery and grind once again and remove in a plate.
  6. Heat ghee in a small skillet and add it in the grinded mixture.
  7. Mix well and form into ladoos. Store them in an airtight container and eat one every day in morning along with milk.
