Amla Mirch ki Achari Sabji.

Ingredients to make Amla Mirch ki Achari Sabji.

  • 250 grams indian gooseberry /amla
  • 3-4 grams green chillies
  • 2 tbsp mustard Oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt to taste
  • For tempering:-
  • 2 tbsp mustard Oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp asafoetida
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds

How to make Amla Mirch ki Achari Sabji.

  1. Wash amla and put in the pressure cooker with water.
  2. Pressure cook for 1 whistle on medium heat.
  3. When cooker cools down completely then open it and drain amla from the water.
  4. use a knife to separate them and remove the seed.
  5. Wash green chilies and cut into pieces.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and add the tempering ingredients.
  7. When seeds start crackling add the chopped green chilies and saute for few seconds.
  8. Now add turmeric,amla pieces and all the spices and mix and stir well.
  9. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes
  10. Open the lid, add sugar and stir fry for a minute.
  11. Serve with roti,parantha.

My Tip:

You can use 1 tbsp readymade achar masala
