Mattar Paneer

Ingredients to make Mattar Paneer

  • paneer 250 gm
  • peas 200 gm
  • ginger 1 tbsp paste
  • garlic 1 tbsp paste
  • onion 5 tbsp paste
  • salt according to taste
  • Powedered red chillies according to taste
  • Garam masala optional
  • tomato 1 tbsp puree
  • cumin seeds 1tbsp
  • mustard Oil 2 tbsp

How to make Mattar Paneer

  1. Put oil in pressure cooker let it heat and put cumin seeds when it start crackling add garlic paste,
  2. Now add onion paste saute for a while then add ginger paste and tomato puree. Cook till the paste gets brown
  3. Now add the dry ingredients
  4. Let it cook for a minute or two
  5. Now add peas and saute for a minute
  6. Add some water
  7. pressure cook for 2 whistles and switch off the flame
  8. Let it cool and add paneer
  9. Yummy matter paneer is ready
  10. Serve with rice or roti choice is yours.

My Tip:

Dont put ginger paste before. It will stick to the pan.
