Ingredients to make Instant Mango Jaggery Pickle

  • 1 cup raw green mangoes(Mukku Manga/Thothapari)
  • 1/4 cup crushed jaggery
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon chilli Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida powder
  • 1 Teaspoon oil

How to make Instant Mango Jaggery Pickle

  1. Cut the mango into small pieces
  2. To the cut mango add chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt and mix them all together.
  3. Heat a pan, add oil,the mustard seeds,asafoetida powder and jaggery.
  4. Once the jaggery dissolves remove the pan from stove and pour the mixture over the mangoes.
  5. Stir them ocassionally,and the sweet mango pickle with jaggery is ready to relish.
  6. Keep them in air tight container in fridge and use them in 4-5 days.

My Tip:

Keep them in air- tight container and use a dry spoon for a longer shelf life
