Veg Fried Rice

Ingredients to make Veg Fried Rice

  • Basmati rice - 1 big glass
  • Red, Yellow & Green Bell peppers - 1 / 4 th cup each (cut into small pieces )
  • onion - 1 cut small
  • tomato - 1 cut small
  • carrot - 1 cut small
  • Sweet corn - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Spring onion- half cup (chopped fine)
  • Baby corn - 2 to 3 cut small
  • Purple cabbage - 1 / 4 th cup finely chopped
  • butter - 2 tbsp
  • oil - 2 tsp
  • pepper powder - half tsp
  • garlic - 2 to 3 pods
  • green chilly - 2 cut fine
  • Soya sauce - 1 tsp(optional )
  • salt to taste

How to make Veg Fried Rice

  1. Take a big vessel. Keep water to boil. In the meantime wash the rice & soak for some time
  2. When it starts boiling add the rice and put a little salt and cook till 3/4 th done Drain & keep aside.
  3. Spread the rice on a plate so that it does not stick to each other.
  4. Take a big kadai. Put butter and oil and when hot add chopped garlic, green chilly & spring onions & onion.
  5. Saute well for a few minutes. Add the chopped tomato. Put pepper powder & soya sauce.
  6. Now add the other chopped veggies and cook for a few minutes on high flame.
  7. Now add the cooked rice and gently mix everything.
  8. When done turn off the gas
  9. Garnish with spring onion . Serve hot with ketchup or raita
