Ingredients to make Sattu ka Paratha and Chokha

  • For dough- whole wheat flour 2 cups
  • salt
  • Ajwain
  • oil
  • water
  • For chokha -roasted brinjal
  • Roasted tomato
  • Boiled and mashed potato
  • chopped onion
  • Chopped ginger garlic
  • Chopped green chilies
  • Chopped coriander
  • Mustard oil
  • salt
  • For stuffing - sattu or roasted gram flour 1 cup
  • Chopped onions
  • Chopped ginger garlic
  • kalonji or nigella seeds
  • masala of any pickle
  • lemon juice
  • Mustard oil
  • Chopped coriander
  • Chopped green chilies
  • salt
  • water to sprinkle
  • Ghee or oil for frying

How to make Sattu ka Paratha and Chokha

  1. Mix all the ingredients under dough and make a tight dough
  2. Keep it covered for sometime.
  3. Mix all the ingredients under stuffing and prepare the stuffing.
  4. Put this stuffing inside one ball and seal the dough
  5. Then with a rolling pin make parathas and fry them in oil or ghee.
  6. Mix all the ingredients under chokha.

My Tip:

This recipe requires good amount of mustard oil for the pungent flavour.
