Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cups wheat flour
  2. 1/2 tbsp salt
  3. 1 cup butter unsalted (at room temperature)
  4. 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  5. 1 tbsp Orange or lemon zest
  6. 2 tbsp finely minced curry leaves.

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl using either an electric mixer .
  3. Beat the butter,powdered suger,lemon zest and curry leaves together on medium speed until well mixed and fluff about 2 to 3 minute .
  4. Reduce speed to low and slowly add in the flour mixture until combined
  5. Divide the dough into half place each half onto a sheet of parchment paper and roll into a lot about 11/2 inches in diameter.
  6. Twist the ends and refrigerate the logs for at least one hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit (180 degrees C)
  8. Cut logs into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  9. Place the slices about 1 inch a part on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  10. Bake for about 15 to 17 minutes or until the cookies become golden in colour.
  11. Transfer the cookies to wire rack for cooling
