Ingredients to make Tawa Vegetable Fried Rice / Desi Fried Rice

  • 3 cups Mixed vegetables (chopped)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2tsp red chilly powder
  • 3cups Cooked basmati rice
  • 1/4tsp turmeric powder
  • 1tbsp Pav Bhaji powder
  • oil
  • salt
  • few curry leaves
  • To roast and grind -
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1tsp cumin seeds

How to make Tawa Vegetable Fried Rice / Desi Fried Rice

  1. Dry roast the coriander seeds and cumin seeds and grind .
  2. Heat enough oil in a large kadai, fry the chopped onions,ginger garlic paste and saute, until the onions turns translucent.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes immediately ,cook until it turns mushy.
  4. Now add the vegetables along with red chilly powder, pav bhaji powder, turmeric powder, cook for few minutes. Simmer for a few minutes until the vegetables get cooked.
  5. Immediately add the cooked rice, coriander cumin powder and toss gently until everything gets mixed.
  6. Enjoy warm with any side dish or raita.
