Chhole masala ( chickpeas curry)

Ingredients to make Chhole masala ( chickpeas curry)

  • Boiled chickpeas 1cup (soak chickpeas for 7-8 hours then cook them in cooker for 6-7 whistles )
  • tomatoes 2 big pureed
  • onions 1big finely chopped
  • ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  • Green chilli 1
  • Jeera1tsp
  • Chhole masala 1tbsp
  • Kitchen king masala 1/2tbsp
  • bay leaves 2
  • salt
  • Red chilli powder 1tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • coriander powder 1tsp
  • oil 2tbsp

How to make Chhole masala ( chickpeas curry)

  1. Heat oil in a deep saucepan add jeera, bay leaves and saute. add ginger garlic paste and saute
  2. Add chopped onions cook till golden brown
  3. Add tomato puree and cook till oil separates
  4. Add salt chilli powder turmeric powder coriander powder
  5. Add chhole masala and kitchen king masala mix
  6. Add boiled chickpeas and 1-2cups of water cook for few minutes on slow flame
  7. Turn off the gas and garnish with fresh coriander leaves
