Ingredients to make Bombay or Karachi Halwa.

  • Corn flour 1/2 cup
  • water 1cup
  • sugar 1 1/4 cups
  • water 1/2 cup
  • Cardomom powder 2 pinch
  • ghee 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Colour as per your choice

How to make Bombay or Karachi Halwa.

  1. Mix cornflour with 1 cup of water. Heat a pan ,put sugar and required water,let it dissolve.
  2. Add corn flour mix, colour & cardamom powder. Keep on stirring, without any break, or else it will curdle.
  3. In between add ghee, 1 tbsp at a time. Keep on stirring, till it becomes a transparent tough dough.
  4. Transfer to a greased plate. Cool. Cut into pieces.
