Ingredients to make Hot Chocolate Pudding Cake

  • 1 cup - flour
  • 2 1/2 tbsp- cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup - milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • For the topping -
  • 1/3 cup - water
  • 1/2 cup - dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tsp instant coffee granules

How to make Hot Chocolate Pudding Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degree C. Sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder in a bowl. Add sugar as needed and mix it. In another bowl mix milk and melted butter. Add this to the dry ingredients and gently fold them together.
  2. Spoon the batter into a lightly buttered 5 to 7 inch baking tin. For the topping, boil water and pour it over chocolate chunks and mix till the sauce is smooth. Add the coffee granules and mix well.
  3. Pour the sauce over the cake batter and bake for 25 - 30 minutes. Dust with icing sugar and a scoop of icecream and serve it warm.
