White Sauce Pasta without Cheese

Ingredients to make White Sauce Pasta without Cheese

  • Elbow pasta - 1 bowl
  • Milk - 1/2 litre
  • maida - 2 tbsp
  • pepper powder - to taste
  • salt to taste
  • Boiled vegetables(carrot, sweet corn or frozen green peas) - 1 cup
  • capsicum- 1 small, finely chopped.
  • butter - for garnishing

How to make White Sauce Pasta without Cheese

  1. Boil the pasta as per the instructions on the packet. Add salt while boiling. Drain it and keep aside. Add little oil to the boiled pasta to prevent sticking.
  2. Take a non-stick Kadai. Add oil. Once heated, switch off the flame. Add maida and stir immediately to avoid lumps.
  3. Now switch on the flame and add milk. Let it boil till saucy.
  4. Now lower the flame and add pepper powder and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add boiled Vegetables and pasta and finely chopped capsicum. Switch off the flame after a minute.
  6. Drop a dollop of butter and serve hot.

My Tip:

Add capsicum at the end to retain its crunch
