Green Gram Dosa /Pesarattu

Ingredients to make Green Gram Dosa /Pesarattu

  • Moong dal with skin/green gram dal - 2 cups
  • Dosa rice - 1/2 cup
  • green chillies - 1 or 2
  • shallots - 6 to 8, chopped
  • coriander leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • ginger - 1/2 inch
  • Refined oil - 4 to 5 tablespoon

How to make Green Gram Dosa /Pesarattu

  1. Clean moong dal and rice, soak them separately for at least 4 to 5 hours.
  2. Now drain the water and take rice, dal, shallots, ginger, coriander leaves and green chillies in a grinder and make a smooth paste.
  3. Add 1/2 cup (or little more) water to the batter to get the right consistency.
  4. Now heat the pan and add a ladle full of batter and rotate in circular movement before it dries up. Cook on high flame.
  5. Add little oil from top, after sometime the edges will come up, this time flip the other side and cook adding little oil.
  6. Serve with chutney
