Chicken strips are absolutely yummy and a great appetizer option for your dinner parties at home.

Chicken Strips

Ingredients to make Chicken Strips

  • 500 grams boneless chicken breast
  • ĵ cup flour
  • 6 tablespoon cornflour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 200 ml buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper

How to make Chicken Strips

  1. Wash and cut the chicken breast into thin strips, about one inch wide.
  2. Place the chicken pieces into a bowl along with a mixture of buttermilk, pepper and salt. Let this marinate overnight or for 30 minutes before cooking.
  3. Next, take a bowl and put in the flour, cornflour, along with the baking powder. Mix well. Also beat the egg in a small bowl and keep aside.
  4. Dip the pieces into the egg mixture, then into the flour mixture. Place them on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 190 degrees celsius for 10-12 minutes or till it is crispy on the outside and lightly brown in colour.
  6. Serve hot alongside chilli sauce to enjoy it at its best.
